Irina was born in St. Petersburg Russia. She started to play the piano at the age of 4. Classically trained, she's been performing on various stages of Russia as well as giving piano recitals in USA.

Being an active performer and piano teacher, she was receiving her BM in Piano Pedagogy and Choir Conducting from renowned N.A. Rimsky-Korsakoff Academy of Music, St. Petersburg, Russia.In 2005 she obtained her MA in Music Education from NYU, NY.

Her teaching experience as a piano/keyboard teacher is immense both in Russia and USA. Irina offers piano/keyboard instructions at her professional piano studio (Manhattan, Upper East Side) as well as at the student's place. Irina teaches all ages and levels. Her lessons include the music of all genres and styles. The students have a great opportunity to be prepared for NYSSMA festivals and various auditions.

Irina offers piano recitals at her piano studio 2-3 times a year for all her students.

The piano/keyboard lessons incorporate all elements of music: sight - reading, theory, harmony, music history, analyzing music form, piano ensemble, the art of practicing. The lessons are well-planned and structured. The students always have their homework.

My methods combine Russian and American teaching approach, for beginners and intermediate I usually use Alfred's and Bastien books for advanced levels I use various repertoire of different styles, genres and techniques. My lessons always incorporate ensemble when teacher and students play Duet
